Meet our Doctors
Dr. Tom Redding
Veterinarian, Owner
Dr. Redding is from Asheboro, NC and has owned Tri-County Veterinary Service since 1987. He earned his degree from Brown University in Rhode Island and then went on to study at Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He is devoted to his work and has helped countless animals.
When not working, Dr. Redding can be found tending to the animals on his family farm as well as fishing, enjoying the great outdoors, and spending time with his family.
Dr. Melody Davis
Veterinarian
Dr. Melody Davis attended North Carolina State University for an undergraduate study in Biology and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from NC State. Dr. Davis has also studied animal chiropractic at Parker University. She has previous experience working as an associate veterinarian at a large animal practice in Eastern NC.
In her spare time, Dr. Davis enjoys riding her horse, traveling, and spending time with friends, family, and pets.
Dr. Derek Heizer
Veterinarian
Dr. Derek Heizer joined our clinic in June 2016. He received his BS in dairy science from Virginia Tech and then went on to receive his Doctor
of Veterinary Medicine degree from Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia. Dr. Heizer lives in rural Alamance County with his wife and two dogs. He enjoys working with and showing his Holstein and Brown Swiss cattle.
Dr. Aleyda Plagge
Veterinarian
Dr. Plagge grew up in a small town outside of Tallahassee, FL. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biological science at Florida State University. She then received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Midwestern University. She enjoys working with all species, but she especially likes goats. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and hanging out with her cat Jeff.
